Summary:

皇冠体育app pilot was carrying out an approach to Runway 21 at Perth airport, accompanied by an instructor. During the flare, the pilot perceived an 鈥渆xcessive sink鈥� rate and the aircraft yawed and rolled to the right. 皇冠体育app instructor took control to commence a go-around and, as he started to rotate the aircraft into the climbing attitude, he assessed that the right wingtip contacted the runway. He immediately aborted the go-around and the aircraft touched down on the grass beside the runway and rolled into standing crop. 皇冠体育app damage to the underside of the winglet was consistent with it having contacted the runway.
