拢18 million for seafront and town centre improvements in Cleethorpes听(Levelling Up Fund 2)
Over 拢18 million from the Levelling Up Fund was awarded to North East Lincolnshire Council to revitalise Cleethorpes seafront and town centre.

Rejuvenating Cleethorpes Market Square听
This existing car park will be removed and replaced with a functioning marketplace. 皇冠体育app new Market Square will reconnect the busy seafront with the town centre, with:听
- 800sqm additional retail space听
- up to 40 new jobs听
- a safer, more pleasant environment for pedestrians听
Extra parking will also be created nearby at Grant Street.听
Sea Road听
Levelling Up funding will support the construction of a new landmark building opposite Cleethorpes pier for visitors to enjoy and help extend the tourist season.听听
Regeneration of Cleethorpes Pier Gardens听
皇冠体育app Victorian linear park will be renovated and aim to bring in around 拢18.7m of economic benefits.听听
Improvements to the Linear Park include:
- an outdoor leisure space听
- a series of outdoors rooms to be used for a variety of recreational activities听听
- more plants and wildlife to increase biodiversity in the area听
