拢20 million Levelling Up Fund allocation for Stockton South
Yarm and Eaglescliffe was allocated 拢20 million from round one of the Levelling Up Fund.
Yarm town centre regeneration
Funding will help improve Yarm town centre by:
- upgrading the high street
- creating green space
- providing new cycle storage
This includes transforming the Grade II listed 18th century town hall into a visitor and community centre.
Redeveloping Preston Park
Plans for Preston Park and Eaglescliffe include:
- extending Preston Park and the Museum to create a new exhibition and gallery space for international exhibits
- improved parking facilities
- new public toilets
Improved transport connections for Stockton South
New transport infrastructure aims to connect key employment sites and residential areas between Yarm High Street and the A66.
