Ballymacash Sports Academy has been awarded 拢300,000 from the Community Ownership Fund to provide sport facilities for local people.

- mini allotments and a community garden
- a new full size floodlit 3g pitch
- 100-seater spectator stand
- outdoor gym equipment
- perimeter fencing

Improvements to the Academy will benefit the local community by:
- providing better links between the academy, schools and the community
- increasing participation in sport for all genders, ages and abilities
- offering affordable skills sessions
- creating new job opportunities
