£300,000 for Ballymacash Sports Academy
Ballymacash Sports Academy has been awarded £300,000 from the Community Ownership Fund to provide sport facilities for local people.
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp football club, which was formed in 1984, has nurtured the ambitions of many aspiring footballers. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp investment will modernise and improve facilities at the Academy’s Rushmore Drive site.
Rushmore Drive Improvements
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp improvements include:
- mini allotments and a community garden
- a new full size floodlit 3g pitch
- 100-seater spectator stand
- outdoor gym equipment
- perimeter fencing
Benefits to the local community
Improvements to the Academy will benefit the local community by:
- providing better links between the academy, schools and the community
- increasing participation in sport for all genders, ages and abilities
- offering affordable skills sessions
- creating new job opportunities
