Fife’s regeneration boosted by £19.4 million investment (Levelling Up Fund 2)

Fife Council has been allocated £19.4 million from the Levelling Up Fund to support regeneration in Glenrothes and Leven. This funding will help deliver an ambitious long-distance footpath connecting Loch Leven, Kinross and Levenmouth.

Glenrothes Riverside Park

Plans to renovate Riverside Park aim to increase tourism and draw more interest to the area. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp park already boasts numerous attractive features, and these renovations aim to enhance its appeal to both residents and tourists.

Improvements will include:

  • an enhanced accessible link to the Fife Pilgrim’s Way
  • a new transport hub with electric charging
  • improved access throughout the park
  • enhanced park entrances
  • an information hub
  • bicycle hire

Leven Connectivity Project

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp River Leven sits at the centre of regeneration in Fife. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp project will provide safe, high-quality green space for local residents. It will allow the local community to access the River Leven and support the re-opening of the Leven Rail Link.

Funding will help create:

  • 5km of new paths along the river
  • 30km of new accessible pathways between towns
