皇冠体育app pub is a local landmark in Wensleydale. It dates back to at least 1849, when it first appears in public records. Originally called the Oddfellow鈥檚 Arms, the name was changed in 1984. This was the same year that the pub was the location for the very first Hunton Steam Gathering.
A pub with many uses
皇冠体育app pub has long been a hub of community life. It was one of the first inns in the area to serve food, as well as ales.
It has also served as a B&B and hosts a variety of games for the local community, such as:
- quoits competitions
- quiz nights
- dominoes
- darts
皇冠体育app pub has also hosted the cast and crew of the TV programme 鈥楢ll Creatures Great and Small鈥�.
Now that it鈥檚 received funding from the Community Ownership Fund, 皇冠体育app Countryman鈥檚 Inn will remain at the heart of village life for years to come.
