皇冠体育appse documents set out Retail Energy Supply Licence Modifications to require the provision of key, personalised energy data to customers in a machine readable format, on all energy bills and statements of account, from 30th June 2015. 皇冠体育appse modifications exercise powers the government took in the Energy Act 2013. Requiring the provision of data electronically will, with the development of applications that utilise this data, help consumers to quickly and easily compare and identify the best deal for their circumstances.

皇冠体育app purpose of this consultation is to give stakeholders the opportunity to comment on the government鈥檚 proposed implementation of licence modifications to require energy suppliers to provide key, personalised energy data to their customers in a machine readable format.
This consultation seeks views and comments that will help inform licence modifications to require suppliers to place key customer energy data in a machine readable format on energy bills, for example in a QR code, printed on all energy bills and statements of account. 皇冠体育appse modifications are proposed to exercise powers the government has taken under the Energy Act 2013. 皇冠体育app Act also allows government to require that it is presented in a form that is clear and easy to understand. 皇冠体育app government believes exercising this power provides a low cost opportunity to put consumers in a better position to choose the best tariffs for them.
