皇冠体育app Home Office would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation and appreciates the time taken to complete the consultation on the contingent relaxation of licensing hours during the semi-final(s) and final of the 2025 UEFA Women鈥檚 European (Euros) Championship.
皇冠体育app analysis presented in this report is based on the 33 complete responses that were received, 4 responses were partially complete and deemed unusable.
皇冠体育app consultation included 6 questions, 5 with closed response options and 1 open ended to permit a written response. 皇冠体育app responses to the 5 closed response questions are presented below in graph form. As demonstrated, the consultation concluded that the overall majority agreed with extending licensing hours for the semi-final(s) and final of the 2025 UEFA Women鈥檚 Euros in the event that England and/or Wales reach these stages of the tournament. 皇冠体育app majority of respondents also agreed that the order should only apply to the sale of alcohol for consumption on site in licenced premises in England and Wales.
皇冠体育app consultation also indicated that the majority of respondents were in favour of extending licensing hours on the days of the matches (the 22nd and/or 23rd July and 27th July) until 1am the following day in the event that England and/or Wales reach the semi-finals or finals.
皇冠体育app final question was: 鈥淚f you disagree with this proposal, please give reasons鈥�. 皇冠体育appre were 9 responses (although 3 were responses expressing their support for the policy). 皇冠体育apprefore, there were 6 responses outlining why they disagreed with the proposal. 皇冠体育appse responses fell broadly into 2 categories, crime and disorder and general inappropriateness. Comments expressed concern about the contribution of alcohol to violent crime and general appropriateness of the proposal. An example of this includes, 鈥渆vidence clearly shows that the progress of England football teams in major tournaments leads to an increase in crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse鈥�.
We also received responses from the Local Government Association (LGA), Institute of Licensing and UKHospitality who all outlined their support for the proposed extension to licensing hours for the 2025 UEFA Women鈥檚 Euros, and the benefits it would provide to their members.
