皇冠体育app government is committed to promoting economic growth and proposed a new duty on non-economic regulators. 皇冠体育app 117 consultation responses received tended to reflect the positions of stakeholder groups, with businesses and industry representative bodies strongly in favour. A duty for non-economic regulators to have regard to growth was included in the draft Deregulation Bill, published on 1 July 2013.

Consultation description

皇冠体育appre are 50 non-economic regulators with a combined budget of approximately 拢4 billion and 55,000 employees. 皇冠体育appre is a strong body of evidence that suggests that they are not consistently achieving both protection and prosperity in the way they operate. This consultation concerns the introduction of a statutory duty for them to have regard to growth. It sets out how such a duty might be applied, and seeks views on how it could work.
