皇冠体育app government has consulted on the case for a business rates relief to support local newspapers in England as they adapt to new technology and changing circumstances. This response sets out the government鈥檚 analysis of the consultation responses.
Government wants to ensure local newspapers occupying property in their local areas are on a sustainable footing. 皇冠体育app government has concluded following this consultation that a relief on their business rates bills could help support them.
皇冠体育app document also includes guidance (at annex A) which is intended to support local authorities in administering the business rate relief for local newspaper.
This is a joint response by the Department for Culture Media and Sport and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
