Role

皇冠体育app Serious Case Review Panel supports local safeguarding children boards (LSCBs) with independent advice to ensure that all parties learn from serious child protection incidents.

LSCBs will conduct a serious case review (SCR) when a child is seriously harmed or dies as a result of abuse or neglect. 皇冠体育app review identifies how local professionals and organisations can improve the way they work together.

Terms of reference

皇冠体育app panel advises LSCBs about:

  • deciding when to conduct a serious case review
  • appointing the reviewers who will carry out a SCR
  • decisions on publishing SCR reports

  • Elizabeth Clarke, a practising barrister who specialises in family law
  • Nicholas Dann, Head of International Development at the Air Accidents Investigation Branch
  • Alice Miles, Director of Strategy and Advocacy at the Office of the Children鈥檚 Commissioner
  • Peter Wanless, Chief Executive of the NSPCC
