Potential opportunities worth around £191 billion to businesses are published today by Minister for the Cabinet Office Francis Maude. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp spending picture released today will help businesses across the country plan for and win opportunities on future government projects.

19 UK ‘pipelinesâ€� reveal what government is planning to buy and construct. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappy show investment in areas from police and fire equipment, to science, technology, and research. Highlights show the government will invest in:

• the development of 2 Proton Beam »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapprapy centres at University College Hospital London and Christie in Greater Manchester. Proton beam therapy is a type of radiotherapy which results in much less damage to surrounding tissue compared to conventional radiotherapy
• Priority School Building Programme â€� £2 billion is to be invested in schools in need of repair
• Clinical and Medical Life Sciences â€� spending has increased by £4 billion since December 2013 to £13 billion on important tools such as MRI scanners and electrocardiographs (ECGs).

Pipelines provide greater transparency about future public sector business, and help suppliers to plan and win more business. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappy also enable government to secure deals that offer better value for the taxpayer by negotiating early with suppliers.
