皇冠体育app British High Commission in Yaounde is delighted to have awarded sixteen (16) fully funded Chevening Scholarships to future leaders from Cameroon for the 2015-2016 academic year.

皇冠体育appse successful scholars were chosen from over 600 applicants through a highly competitive selection process and will study a wide range of Masters鈥� programmes across UK universities in one of these priority areas: Human rights, Security, Development, Good governance and Communication.

Speaking during the pre-departure event,the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, H.E. Brian Olley said

鈥溁使谔逵齛pp Chevening programme is a key part of our work to further deepen the strong cultural and educational ties between our country and the sub-region. I encourage you scholars to return to Cameroon after your pursuing courses and bring your contribution to the development of Cameroon鈥�.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government鈥檚 global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and partner organizations. 皇冠体育app scholarships are awarded to outstanding future leaders to pursue a one-year master鈥檚 course in any subject and at any UK university. Cameroon was able to secure 16 places thanks to the global budget increase by UK government.
