皇冠体育app United Kingdom appreciates the Federated States of Micronesia鈥檚 continued participation in the UPR process. We commend Micronesia鈥檚 efforts to implement the recommendations from its last review, despite capacity and resource constraints, and we welcome the ongoing consultation with civil society in this process.

皇冠体育app United Kingdom commends Micronesia on the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We further welcome the Government鈥檚 preparation of a report on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and encourage further action in this regard.

皇冠体育app United Kingdom acknowledges the challenges facing the Federated States of Micronesia in their efforts to address their human rights obligations, especially in the face of the growing impact of climate change, and we encourage the Government to draw on available international technical assistance and expertise in this area.

We have three recommendations:

1. Ratify the 2014 Protocol to the ILO Forced Labour Convention, 1930 No. 29 in support of the 50 For Freedom campaign.

2. Expand education and awareness campaigns on the issue of human trafficking and gather more data and analysis of trafficking.

3. Ratify the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
