Baroness Scotland of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Abolition of the Death Penalty and Mme Ruth Dreifuss of the International Commission against the Death Penalty visited Jamaica in March.
皇冠体育app visit was part of a regional tour aimed at finding out more about the Caribbean鈥檚 views on the death penalty, examine the reasons for retention and explore possible routes towards abolition. 皇冠体育app delegation met with several government ministers as well as opposition spokespersons and civil society leaders. 皇冠体育appy also visited the St Catherine Correctional Facility where they met inmates who are currently on death row.
