Loss of rudder control in-flight, Blackbushe Airport, Hampshire, 24 February 2024

This statement provides an update on the AAIB investigation into a serious incident involving a Cessna 152 at Blackbushe Airport on 24 February 2024. 皇冠体育app aircraft was being flown by a student pilot during a training flight when it suffered a loss of rudder control.聽 皇冠体育app instructor took control of the aircraft and landed uneventfully.聽 Examination of the aircraft revealed that the rudder bellcrank had failed at the point where the right rudder cable attached to it.聽
