皇冠体育app Lord Chancellor confirmed today (21 October 2016) the appointment of Lord Kakkar as the new Chair of the Judicial Appointments Commission.
皇冠体育app appointment is for an initial term of 3 years from 3 October 2016.
Lord Kakkar is Professor of Surgery at University College London and Chairman of UCL Partners. His research interests are in the field of thrombosis.
In 2010 he became a Cross-Bench Peer and has held the role of Chairman of the House of Lords Appointments Commission since 2013. He was appointed to the Privy Council in 2014.
