BHC Kampala recognises youth working in the disability space

Young people were nominated through organisations working on disability inclusion.

This was published under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government

A judging panel comprising a representative from organisations of persons with disabilities, the Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development and BHC Kampala reviewed their entries and identified the winners based on their leadership, advocacy and impact.聽皇冠体育app winners are Wokobera鈥疭hamim, Khasalamwa鈥疎sther, Nandudu Vanessa Esther, Kamukama Tadeo and Elijah鈥痀unik. 聽

皇冠体育app BHC Kampala is a strong supporter of disability inclusion, especially in education, social protection, and health. 皇冠体育app UK has funded Expanding Social Protection II programme and the inclusive education programme under the Girls鈥� Education Challenge. 皇冠体育app Expanding Social Protection II programme supported the Government of Uganda to develop a disability management information system聽to assist with the implementation of the National Special Disability Grant. 皇冠体育app Girls鈥� Education Challenge聽has supported 2,500 children with disabilities benefit鈥痜rom learning opportunities through scholarships, provision of assistive devices聽and capacity building for teachers. 聽
