British Embassy in Dublin goes green to mark St. Patrick’s Day
For the second year, the British Embassy in Dublin will ‘go green� to mark St. Patrick’s Day joining iconic landmarks around the world.

»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp “greening of the embassyâ€� will take place from Thursday 12 March until Wednesday 18 March in celebration of Ireland’s famous national holiday and the close personal, economic and cultural links between Ireland and the UK.
In the UK, London’s Nelson’s Column and the London Eye will be illuminated in green. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýappy will be joined by the Town Hall clock in Manchester. In Scotland, Edinburgh Castle will go green for the first time alongside the ‘Armadilloâ€� and »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
British Ambassador Dominick Chilcott said:
St Patrick’s Day is increasingly adopted in countries around the world at this time of year as the best excuse for a parade and a party. In March, for a few days at least, the whole world wants to be Irish. No other nation enjoys such broad appeal and those of us in the business of building national reputations stand in awe at Ireland’s achievements around the world on the feast day of their patron saint.
