British experts visit Chile to participate in international workshop on lithium

During the panel discussion at the British residence, participants shared insights into current industry and academic interactions occurring in the UK with the support of the Government鈥檚 Faraday Battery Challenge.

Networking event at the British Residence
Following the first day of the workshop sessions, Her Majesty鈥檚 Ambassador Jamie Bowden hosted a welcome event for all IWLiME national and international delegates.

皇冠体育app IWLiME is a great opportunity to explore new collaborations and build on existing academic and industry connections. 皇冠体育app UK and Chile have a common interest of further strengthening international applied research networks and developing new innovative technologies in the fields of lithium, industrial minerals and energy.
皇冠体育app Ambassador鈥檚 welcome words were followed by a brief panel session with the UK experts participating in IWLiME facilitated by Prof. Mario Gr谩geda from the Universidad de Antofagasta and Francisco Calder贸n from the Universidad Cat贸lica del Norte.
During the panel discussion, participants shared insights into current industry and academic interactions occurring in the UK with the support of the Government鈥檚 as well as discussed the importance of developing advanced human capital in the lithium and electro mobility sectors.
Dr. Clare Grey stated how developing research capacities in the areas of lithium, energy and electro mobility 鈥渋s not just about batteries but also niche technologies鈥�.
