皇冠体育app Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, has today announced that the Government will waive VAT on sales of the Hillsborough single, He Ain鈥檛 Heavy, He鈥檚 My Brother.聽皇冠体育app donation will be equivalent to the VAT receipts collected on sales before the end of March 2013.聽

Proceeds from the release of the single will be deposited into a fund to provide legal support for the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

皇冠体育appse families have been campaigning for justice for almost 24 years; it鈥檚 been a long journey so I鈥檓 pleased to be able to say the Government will effectively waive the VAT on sales of the Hillsborough single, ensuring that as much money as possible goes towards helping these families.

Notes for editors

2. Released on 17 December,聽proceeds from sales will be donated to LCVS, Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services and will go towards supporting the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, which took place on 15 April 1989.
