Dartford Crossing � charges reinstated
Normal charging patterns on the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing were reinstated at 10pm this evening.

As per usual, there will be no charge to use the Crossing from 10pm until 6am and normal changes will apply to drivers from 6am tomorrow morning (Thursday 17 July).
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp Highways Agency had temporarily suspended charges northbound on the crossing as a result of an incident on the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing.
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp decision to suspend charges had been made at 4.30pm today to help ease the particularly severe congestion which had built up as a result of the emergency and also to reduce the risk of minor collisions in queuing traffic.
»Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp incident, which happened at around 12.30 this afternoon, involved 4 HGVs. We will be working hard with our contractors to reopen the west bore as soon as it is safe to do so. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp work will require approximately 70 metres of the carriageway to be resurfaced overnight. It is expected that the west bore will be reopened before the morning commute. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp east bore has remained open to traffic.
