皇冠体育app Minister for Asia-Pacific, Rt Hon Hugo Swire MP said:

皇冠体育app decision by the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group to welcome Fiji back into the Commonwealth family recognises the significant steps that Fiji has taken on the road to full democracy.

As an organisation, the Commonwealth is based on strong shared values. Fiji鈥檚 recent elections were a vitally important milestone which we have welcomed. I now encourage Fiji to work with the Commonwealth and its members to embed further the aims and aspirations we have all agreed in the Commonwealth Charter, including crucially the freedom of the press.
