Government approves West Ham Olympic stadium bid

Legacy聽Company founder members approve preferred legacy bidder

As Founder Members of the , the Government and the have today approved a consortium led by West Ham United FC as the preferred bidder to move into the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games.

This follows the recommendation made by the Olympic Park Legacy Company on 11 February. 皇冠体育app Government announced its decision through a to Parliament.

This marks the end of the first stage in the tendering process.聽 As the preferred bidder, West Ham United Football Club and the London Borough of Newham will now have the right to take forward exclusive negotiations with the Olympic Park Legacy Company to agree a lease for the Olympic Stadium on terms that are acceptable to Government and the Mayor of London and provide value for money to the public sector.
