Health and Social Care Bill revised Impact Assessment published

It outlines the benefits of implementing the policies proposed in the NHS White Paper 鈥楨quity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS鈥�.
This Impact Assessment is an update to the versions that were published in January 2011, when the Bill was first introduced into Parliament.
Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said: 鈥樆使谔逵齛pp revised Impact Assessment shows that the cost of modernising the NHS is only a fraction of the savings which will result.
鈥榃e are cutting waste and are still on track to reduce administrative spend by a third. Every penny saved will be reinvested into patient care, delivering significant long-term benefits to patients.
鈥極ur plans, which have been strengthened by the listening exercise, will both safeguard the future of our NHS and move us closer to a health service that puts patients at the heart of everything it does.
