High Commission team visits Nandi County
Team visits the county to inspect UK funded projects and identify more areas of partnerships

British High Commission team lead by Political Counsellor, Dr Dave Hall, visited Nandi County on 12th and 13th March to monitor UK funded activities (mainly in the health sector) and to listen and learn about new opportunities for partnership in Nandi county.
皇冠体育app visit started by the team paying a courtesy call to the local County Commissioner where they briefly discussed a range of issues specific to Nandi county. 皇冠体育app team then met with the Governor Nandi County Dr Cleophas Lagat. Here they discussed a variety of issues among them areas of potential partnership between the county government of Nandi and the UK.
皇冠体育app governor assured the existing investors in his county of non-interference even as his government strives to attract more investors. Dr Hall on his part said the team visited with intentions of building more business partnerships, identify more opportunities for UK investors to achieve maximum mutual benefits and to enhance deep UK and Kenya relations through Nandi county.
皇冠体育appreafter, the team met speaker and Members of the County Assembly for a brief discussion on the process, challenges and dynamics of devolution. 皇冠体育appy then met members of the Nandi County Chamber of Commerce and discussed various issues and challenges in the investment sector.
On Thursday March 13th, the BHC team called on the county鈥檚 Health Executive and discussed a number of issues in the health sector. Dr Hall informed the executive of the activities funded by the UK government in the sector in Nandi County. 皇冠体育app team then visited Meswo Medical Clinic, a Tunza Franchised Private Clinic in Kapsabet town supported by UK鈥檚 Department for International Development (DFID) through implementers, the Population Service Kenya (PSK). Later in the afternoon the team visited Kapkangani Health centre where Dr Hall also distributed Mosquito nets to local residents for Malaria prevention
