University's licence to sponsor and teach non-EEA students revoked after it failed to address failings identified by the UK Border Agency.

皇冠体育app London Metropolitan University鈥檚 licence to sponsor and teach non-EEA students has been revoked after it failed to address serious and systemic failings that were identified by the UK Border Agency six months ago.

Immigration Minister Damian Green said: 鈥樆使谔逵齛pp UK Border Agency has been working with London Metropolitan University for the past six months, however the latest audit revealed issues with 61 per cent of files randomly sampled. Allowing London Met to continue to sponsor and teach international students was not an option.
鈥樆使谔逵齛ppse are problems with one university, not the whole sector. British universities are among the best in the world - and Britain remains a top class destination for top class international students.
