Prime Minister David Cameron spoke to Carwyn Jones, First Minister of Wales, this afternoon to congratulate him on his re-election.

A Downing Street spokesperson said:

皇冠体育app Prime Minister telephoned Carwyn Jones today, following the election results confirmed in Wales. 皇冠体育app Prime Minister congratulated Mr Jones on his re-election and on his party having the largest representation in the Welsh Assembly.

皇冠体育app Prime Minister and Mr Jones agreed that the UK and Welsh governments must continue to work together on the future of the steel industry across the UK. 皇冠体育app 2 leaders also discussed ways of working together to continue to make the case for the UK remaining in the EU, ahead of the referendum on 23 June.
