David Cameron spoke with President Francois Hollande about airstrikes in Syria and the UK's renegotiations of its EU membership.

A Downing Street spokesperson said:

皇冠体育app Prime Minister called President Hollande on Saturday 5 December.

皇冠体育app President congratulated the Prime Minister on the outcome of last week鈥檚 vote to extend airstrikes to Syria, and said he was pleased that the UK and France would now be working together to defeat Daesh in their heartlands.

皇冠体育app Prime Minister and the President agreed to step up intelligence-sharing and counter-terrorism co-operation.

皇冠体育app Prime Minister noted that he hoped to have a substantive discussion on the UK鈥檚 renegotiation at the December European Council.
