A Downing Street spokesperson said:

皇冠体育app Prime Minister called Prime Minister Bill English of New Zealand this morning to offer her congratulations on his appointment. She added that she looked forward to building on the strong relationship shared by our 2 countries.

皇冠体育app leaders discussed Brexit and the Prime Minister reiterated that the UK is leaving the EU but not leaving Europe. 皇冠体育appy discussed trade and the importance of continuing to share trade policy expertise.

皇冠体育app Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister English for the support extended to British nationals affected by the recent earthquake in New Zealand and reiterated the UK offer of assistance on reconstruction.
