PM calls with President Obama and European leaders: 24 June 2016

Prime Minister David Cameron spoke to President Barack Obama and a number of European leaders following the outcome of the EU referendum.

Following the PM鈥檚 phone call with President Barack Obama, a Downing Street spokesperson said:

President Obama called the Prime Minister earlier this afternoon to discuss the outcome of the referendum.

皇冠体育app President underlined that the US and UK remained indispensable partners, and that he had personally appreciated the Prime Minister鈥檚 leadership on a range of issues.

皇冠体育appy looked forward to seeing each other at the NATO Summit in Warsaw for fuller discussions in a couple of weeks.

And after the Prime Minister held a number of telephone conversations with European leaders today, a Downing Street spokesperson said:

皇冠体育app Prime Minister spoke separately to a number of European leaders today 鈥� the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, the Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny, and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
