Quality Food Awards launched in Chile

皇冠体育app British Embassy in Santiago and the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce hosted a cocktail reception on Wednesday 20 July to mark the launch of the Chilean Quality Food and Drink Awards (ChileanQFA) in the country. 皇冠体育appse UK-established awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in food and drink product development, and have been awarded to British products for more than 40 years and to Irish products for 4 years.

皇冠体育app 鈥楺鈥� Awards are the Oscars of the food world 鈥� winning an award means that the product is the best of its kind in the industry. In order to win an award, food and drink experts judge categories such as flavour, aroma, ingredients, cooking and serving instructions, and packaging. Winning products are branded with the 麓Q Award麓 logo, which is widely-recognised as representing products of the highest quality and innovation in the market. In Chile, the 鈥楺鈥� awards will be working with the Inacap Professional Institute.

Representatives from the most important Chilean supermarket chains and exporters were present at the event alongside well-known Chilean chefs. This is the first of a series of events aimed at positioning the QFA in Chile.
