Retired and serving Royal Marines have been guests of honour at a reception at Government House held to mark the 350th anniversary of the Corps鈥� foundation.

In a speech of welcome, Governor Colin Roberts said Government House should be a 鈥渉ome from home鈥� for Royal Marines, their families and friends, adding, 鈥淛ust look around and you鈥檒l find all kinds of mementos of Royal Marines that have been here before.鈥�
皇冠体育app Royal Marines had a very special relationship with the Falkland Islands, Mr Roberts said, the evidence of which was in those who had made the Falkland Islands their home over the years.
He then proposed a toast to the Royal Marines.
