皇冠体育app British Embassy in Beijing today launched a new online portal in Mandarin designed specifically to help Chinese nationals apply for the UK’s prestigious Chevening scholarship programme. 皇冠体育app website, which can be found at , provides information and guidance to help new applicants understand the Chevening programme and application process.

Commenting on the launch, Sebastian Wood, British Ambassador to China, said:

I am delighted to see the launch of the new website. 皇冠体育app Chevening scholarship programme is a tremendously valuable way for the UK to build relations with China’s future leaders. 皇冠体育app UK offers a truly world-class education and I encourage China’s ambitious young leaders to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

皇冠体育app Chevening provides scholars with world-class educational opportunities in the UK. 皇冠体育app scholarships are funded by the FCO and its partners and sponsors, and scholarship applicants are open to apply to any universities and courses in the UK. Since 1983, 42,000 of the world’s best and brightest from 118 countries have been awarded a Chevening Scholarship. 皇冠体育app Programme has shaped up a prestigious and influential global alumni network, including over 3,100 alumni from mainland China. Previous alumni have included Mr. Xu Shanda, former Vice Chair of State Administration of Taxation, and Madame Wang Lili, Executive Vice President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Chevening Scholarships will support over 600 established or emerging leaders for the 2014/15 academic year. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree, in any subject and at any of the UK’s leading universities. More information is available at .
