Triple Sellafield recognition for skills training and recruitment
Sellafield Ltd鈥檚 award winning training programmes were once again praised in front of the nation鈥檚 nuclear skills leaders.

皇冠体育app annual UK Nuclear Skills Awards in Manchester highlight the stars of the present and future, and this year Matt Jackson, 皇冠体育appa Evans and Sellafield Ltd, along with Wigan and Leigh College were recognised in the Postgraduate of the Year, Advanced Apprentice of the Year and Best Training Provider and Employer Partnership respectively.
Matt, who is a technical manager in the Retrievals Value Stream, completed his PhD in nuclear engineering at 皇冠体育app University of Leeds.
He said:
My PhD was a huge personal achievement. It鈥檚 great to be recognised for my contributions so far and I am glad to be able to continue working in support of the Sellafield mission.
皇冠体育appa was recognised having gained a distinction in Business Administration.

皇冠体育app apprentice scheme at Sellafield is excellent and it鈥檚 no surprise the company receives recognition amongst its peers.
Since starting my apprenticeship, I鈥檝e massively grown as a person and along the way had many achievements such as passing my ANIA exam and gaining a distinction in my End Point Assessment which was a huge goal for me.
Finally, Sellafield Ltd and Wigan and Leigh College were shortlisted due to the partnership that was formed a number of years ago to improve higher level curriculum through the introduction of new nuclear apprenticeship standards.
Shared working has enabled both parties to build capacity to deliver training in skills priority areas, and provide cost effective, quality provision.
