Britain鈥檚 young athletes have won 13 medals at the first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.

Britain鈥檚 young athletes have won 13 medals at the first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. 皇冠体育app team of 39 British athletes, aged between 14 and 18, won five golds, two silvers and six bronzes across eight sports including, Taekwondo, Rowing, Gymnastics and Athletics.

皇冠体育app 12 day competition played host to 3600 athletes from 204 countries. 皇冠体育app Youth Olympic Games aims to inspire youth around the world to embrace, embody and express the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect.

鈥淥ur young athletes have done the country proud,鈥� said . 鈥淢any of the competitors will have worked very hard to get there juggling school work and exams with training, making their success even more remarkable.

鈥淚 hope the experience of the Youth Olympics will spur these young athletes on to keep competing as adults and become Olympians in the future.鈥�
