Biography
Yvonne Spencer was appointed Director of Science Capability (formerly Director of Transformation) in June 2020. She first joined the agency in 1984.
Her career in APHA includes:
- Head of Pathology & Animal Sciences Department
- Lead Scientist of the Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE) Programme and Director of National & International Reference Laboratory for TSEs
- Pathology Senior Research Scientist, and Workgroup Leader of the Pathology Department
