皇冠体育app A27 is the only trunk road south of the M25 connecting east and west England. It links urbanised coastal areas with the rest of the network and runs through the South Downs National Park. Currently over 60% of the route is dual carriageway and 4 stretches are single carriageway. 皇冠体育app study was carried out to identify opportunities and investment solutions for improving the route. It looks into addressing issues around:

congestion
delays for road users
separation of communities - notably in Arundel, Worthing and Lancing
air pollution
the above average number of accidents

皇冠体育app results of the study informed our 鈥�Road investment strategy鈥� (RIS) and particularly the 鈥�RIS investment plan鈥�.
