皇冠体育app Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), working with Wilton Park, hosted a conference with participation from the governments of Somalia and Niger, donors, climate finance providers and humanitarian agencies. 皇冠体育app conference explored how countries can more effectively access international climate adaptation finance, and use it to address climate-related drivers of humanitarian need.

皇冠体育app FCDO鈥檚 Second Permanent Under Secretary, Nick Dyer, chaired a meeting which informed recommendations for attendees to consider, as well as some specific recommendations for participating agencies. 皇冠体育appse aim to improve collaboration amongst important climate, humanitarian and development organisations to enable vulnerable countries to:

  • improve access to climate adaptation finance
  • increase their capacity to use it to build resilience and adapt

皇冠体育app recommendations will feed into, and inform, planning for the COP28 Summit, as well as contribute to progress on climate adaptation finance in the longer term.
