This report is the Chief Coroner鈥檚 report covering the work of the coroner service in 2023. It represents His Honour Judge Thomas Teague KC鈥檚 report to the Lord Chancellor. 皇冠体育app report details the operation of the coroner service following the suite of coroner reforms implemented in July 2013 under the 2009 Act and Rules and Regulations underpinning it. In particular the Chief Coroner鈥檚 report sets out:
- the continuing work to promote consistency in the resourcing of, and practices in, coroner鈥檚 offices across England and Wales
- the training and guidance that coroners and their officers have received and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders
- recommendations to improve coroner services further
