An聽exploration of whether聽realistic estimates of children missing education (CME) could be derived by comparing the Office for National Statistics (ONS) population census from March 2021 with the Department for Education (DfE) school census from the 2021 spring term (January to February 2021). We then compare these estimates against the Department for Education data on children missing education in England (2022/23).
