A - Regulation of social housing in England under the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (鈥榯he Act鈥�) is the responsibility of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). RSH is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

1	皇冠体育app Director of Strategy has noted that the power to give directions about the preparation of PRP accounts must be exercised with a view to ensuring that accounts are prepared in a proper form and present a true and fair view of a PRP鈥檚 state of affairs in relation to its social housing activities and the disposition of funds and assets which are, or have been, in the PRP鈥檚 hands in connection with those activities. In compliance with the requirements under s127(6) of the Act, this decision has been taken following consultation with at least one body appearing to the regulator to represent the interests of private registered providers. 皇冠体育app Accounting Direction for private registered providers of social housing [January 2022] is as set out in Schedule 1. 皇冠体育app revised Accounting Direction referred to in this Decision Instrument supersedes the following: 皇冠体育app Accounting Direction which took effect from 30 January 2019.
