Defence Infrastructure Fire Standards (DIFS) are intended to provide asset and property protection to Ministry of Defence (MOD) buildings where a level of importance is implied that relates to the need to maintain a capability or the availability of an asset.

Other agencies or areas operating on behalf of MOD may also adopt the fire standards contained within this document.
