This qualitative research was designed to examine and identify the skills and knowledge required by staff in special schools and colleges to:

  • assess the digital assistive technology (AT) needs of pupils
  • support pupils to use digital AT in the classroom

皇冠体育app project involved 36 staff from special schools and colleges and included focus groups, interviews and a literature review.

皇冠体育app main output is a framework that maps the skills and knowledge needed by special school and college staff working in student-facing roles across differing staff roles.
