Details

On 12 May 2021, Natural England submitted a collection of reports to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out the proposals for improved access to the coast between Mablethorpe and the Humber Bridge (MHB).

All representations and objections were considered before the Secretary of State made a final decision about the reports.

Outcome

On 2 March 2022, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for lengths MHB1, MHB3 and MHB4.

On 20 October 2022, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for length MHB2.

On 15 May 2025, this stretch of the King Charles III England Coast Path opened to the public.
