Local nature recovery strategies map nature recovery actions. 皇冠体育appy target actions in locations where they are most needed and where they provide the best environmental outcomes. 皇冠体育app strategies will help to join up national efforts to reverse the decline of biodiversity.
皇冠体育appre are 48 strategy areas which cover the whole of England with no gaps or overlaps. 皇冠体育app Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has appointed 鈥榬esponsible authorities鈥� to lead the preparation of the strategy for each area.
Responsible authorities
Responsible authorities are required to work with stakeholders across the public, private and voluntary sectors to:
- agree priorities for nature鈥檚 recovery
- map the most valuable existing areas for nature
- establish shared proposals for what action they should take to recover nature and where
