This guidance is intended for merger parties and their advisers. It seeks to provide a single source of guidance on remedies for Phase 1 and Phase 2 merger investigations. This guidance applies to any Phase 1 merger investigations commenced after 13 December 2018 and any Phase 1 merger investigations referred to Phase 2 after 13 December 2018 and supersedes the , Chapter 5 of the and Chapters 8 and 14 of the CMA鈥檚 guidelines on merger jurisdiction and procedure (CMA2). For any Phase 2 merger investigations that commenced prior to 13 December 2018, the previous guidance remains applicable.
