In line with government practice to review legislation 3-5 years after it has received royal assent, on 3 March 2015 the Foreign & Commonwealth Office laid before Parliament a post-legislative scrutiny memorandum on the Cluster Munitions (Prohibitions) Act 2010. 皇冠体育app memorandum is to the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Committees on Arms Export Controls. It provides an initial assessment of how the Act has worked in practice. It concludes that it has effectively implemented the provisions of the Convention on Cluster Munitions into UK law, and that this paved the way for the UK鈥檚 ratification of the treaty and its entry into force.
