皇冠体育app Prince wrote to the then Minister for Housing and Planning, Yvette Cooper MP, to raise his concerns about affordable housing in rural communities and to offer his congratulations on the recently published Eco Towns Prospectus.
皇冠体育app then minister, Yvette Cooper, replied to say that she was delighted to hear of his support for the department鈥檚 work on eco-towns and was very pleased that the Prince鈥檚 Foundation (for the Built Environment) were working closely with the department in this area. 皇冠体育app then minister went on to set out some of the ways the department was acting to tackle the barriers to the delivery of affordable housing in rural areas.
皇冠体育app Prince also wrote to the then Minister for Housing and Planning, Caroline Flint MP, to mention the difficulties in completing heritage-led regeneration projects experienced by the Prince鈥檚 Regeneration Trust. 皇冠体育app Prince suggested a meeting to discuss this issue. 皇冠体育app Prince鈥檚 letter also mentioned his concerns about affordable rural housing and his desire to see better vocational training. At the end of his letter 皇冠体育app Prince refers to an earlier discussion with the minister about the possibility of secondments.
皇冠体育app then Minister for Housing and Planning, Caroline Flint MP, replied to the Prince to set out some of the ways the government were acting to deliver more affordable rural housing and to suggest a meeting between DCLG officials and the Prince鈥檚 Foundation for the Built Environment. 皇冠体育app minister shared the Prince鈥檚 concerns about the decay of listed buildings and explained that the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Baroness Andrews, had been discussing this issue with English Heritage.
