皇冠体育app Principles for improving development impact in SIDS were launched on 14 December 2022 at the in Geneva. 皇冠体育appy aim to help make aid funding more effective, by providing specific guidance to address the unique challenges that SIDS face.
皇冠体育app Principles identify priority areas for working with SIDS. 皇冠体育appy provide high-level advice for development co-operation organisations and SIDS themselves. 皇冠体育appy offer policy solutions, based on evidence from development partners and multilateral organisations along with the perspectives of SIDS themselves.
Development cooperation supports SIDS to build resilience, work towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and recover from COVID-19. Recognising this, the COVID-19 Contact Group of Development Ministers commissioned the Principles in 2020, working with SIDS and multilateral organisations. 皇冠体育app Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), the United Kingdom (UK) and Canada co-chaired this work. 皇冠体育appy worked closely with a Technical Advisory Group which included:
